Our Lavinton lamb shoulder has won two Great Taste Awards; three stars in 2016 and two stars in 2025. Described by the judges as an impressive shoulder of lamb with golden skin and meat which fell away from the bone. They noted it had an intense rich aroma and some grassy notes. They also commented that the meat was very tender, melted in the mouth and had natural lamb flavours.
In January 2025, James Martin cooked a shoulder of our lamb for chefs Galton Blackiston and Tommy Banks on his hugely popular TV programme, James Martin’s Saturday Morning on ITV. All three chefs were overwhelmingly complimentary of the lamb, describing it as spectacular, incredible, tender and full of flavour.
